Difficulty with Walking and Fatigue

Have had MS since 1986, I'm now 87 yrs old. For the first 15yrs, I did fine. Last 2yrs started progressing. It is affecting my left leg, walking is very difficult. I still get around a little. Fatigue is a big problem & I do a lot of sleeping. Is there anyone who has similar problems?

<inline-mention user-id="3958285" username="doughnut"/> , so great to read your story! As Janus has mentioned, fatigue and walking difficulties are common. She also mentioned talking to your doctor, and that's an important piece. If you haven't already, contacting your doc about those changes gives them an opportunity to examine you and determine what is causing your leg problems and fatigue. Oddly, it might not be MS. Infections can cause similar symptoms (bladder infections are notorious for existing without causing traditional symptoms), so the doc might want blood work done to rule out some things. Yes, I do. I am 76... diagnosed around 10 years ago. I take Nuvigil sometimes for fatigue... it helps. Other than than I feel like an "outsider" looking in. Life seems to be going on without me.

Hallo doughnut...... What can I say except "ME TOO". Iam 76......How did that happen(rhetorical ). Also with me, it's my left leg. I have stopped visiting Neuro as I felt that I wasn't given attention because of my age. IThis websight is so helpful as I (we) feel this is where you are seen and recognised. Again, I highly recommend "MS and your Feelings" by Allison Shadday..........the best...
