CMSC—Enhancing the Treatment and Care of People with MS

Right now, all over the world, the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC) is providing the latest education and resources to healthcare professionals on multiple sclerosis diagnosis, treatments and comprehensive care.

CMSC is a non-profit professional organization for healthcare providers and researchers. Although we primarily interact with MS clinicians, CMSC provides important tools and resources that impact those living with MS! Our core purpose is to maximize the ability and education of MS healthcare professionals to improve the lives of those affected by multiple sclerosis– which means we can help your MS providers stay abreast of the latest in MS care.

CMSC offers and supports the following programs that have direct benefits for people living with MS:

CMSC founded and supports NARCOMS, a global registry database of over 37,000 persons with Multiple Sclerosis, who participate in bi-annual surveys to share information about their experience. Enrollment is free and confidential, and participation creates aggregate data to support MS research. Participants are also notified of clinical trials and research studies that they may be eligible to participate in. To learn more, visit

  • Virtual Support Group

CMSC, in partnership with Syandus, recently launched a new virtual support group for MS patients entitled Virtual Conversations in Multiple Sclerosis: Taking Control of My Therapy. This user-friendly app creates an interactive group session with friendly and informative characters, eager to share their stories of successfully coping with multiple sclerosis. The characters happily respond to your input as you steer the conversation to the topics that you feel are most important. Click here to visit the itunes store and download this free app.

In addition, at CMSC, we believe that patients receive the best care when it is comprehensive and collaborative. Therefore, we offer a broad spectrum of live and on-demand learning opportunities that you can share with your provider, or use to learn more about MS yourself! Educational opportunities for clinicians include:

  • Continuing Medical Education
