These are just some of the many letters, emails and notes we receive at the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA) regarding our longstanding and very popular MSAA's Lending Library program for the MS community. With the goal of bringing knowledge, awareness and empowerment right into the comfort of a person’s home, the MSAA Lending Library program offers a comprehensive array of books and DVDs on multiple sclerosis and related health and accessibility topics.
With an inventory of more than 120 titles and growing, individuals can read about and stay updated on the disease, treatments and symptom management; diet and exercise; alternative therapy; caregiving; stress management; coping skills; and many other insightful topics to help adjust to the complex and ever-changing nature of MS. Of particular interest among avid Library readers is our Personal Stories category. This robust section of the Library includes books written by people living with MS who share their life’s journey with the disease and offer strategies they have discovered along the way to help others thrive and survive through the challenges of work, family, relationships, and everything in between!
The MSAA Lending Library program is free and open to everybody. Participants can borrow one (1) book or DVD at a time for up to 45 days. MSAA covers all outgoing and return mailing costs. Once the book or DVD is returned, MSAA will process your next request based on availability. You can use this service continuously, providing each book or DVD is returned within the 45-day period and/or no negligence occurs. We encourage you to check out our Lending Library and stay as informed and knowledgeable about MS as possible! To participate, please access MSAA's Lending Library program for the MS community or call (800) 532-7667.
