" I would like to respond to Devon Garlitz article about choosing not to be negative. He is frustrated when people tell him that he would do better to just be positive. I agree with him this disease is not about outlook. It is not A psychological disease. It is a physical disease. Changing your diet, changing your outlook, changing your doctor, and changing your medicine really has almost no effect on this disease. No one knows why we have it. No one knows what each of our prognosis is will be. We cannot change the outcome. I have done everything that the doctors have told me. Are usually have a smile on my face. I eat well. I swim four times a week. I cannot move my left leg or my left arm 1/4 of an inch. It’s not my fault. I keep on searching for an answer. I have been to Doctors acupuncturists, psychiatrists, ietc. I have to say, MS has me. My brother died in a coma after suffering with progressive m s for 16 years. My sister, a vegetarian, has not been out of bed for 10 years. MS has devastated my family. No my parents didn’t have it. None of my other relatives have ms. This disease sucks and attitude has nothing to do with the trajectory."
