Has anyone else lost 'connection' with the left side of their body?

I seem to have mentally 'lost' the left side of my body. It still works fine, but I favour my right leg and lean to the right. Mentally if I close my eyes, I cannot sense my left side at all (although I can still feel it, etc.), so it is purely a mental connection. I'm wondering if this is why I favour my right side? My right side (leg) is beginning to complain after having to seemingly take the brunt of my weight over the years. Has anyone else experienced this?

  1. HI Sebb! I am sorry you are dealing with this particular issue. It's pretty 'normal' for someone with MS to experience numbness or loss of feeling in various parts of the body, as I am sure you well know! It may be a bit more unusual to experience that issue on one entire side of the body, but again, I don't think it's far outside the norm (for MS!).

Here is a personal story from another member about his experience with loss of feeling on his entire left side -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/stories/sure-say/.

If you haven't done so already, please let your physician know what is going on.

I hope you get some answers and relief from this particular issue!
