How much is muscle deterioration due to MS?

An MS patient for awhile and besides an almost constant weight gain over the course of the last 6 or 7 years my legs are really cramping and tingling almost constantly! I know some of it is the weight but how much is muscle deterioration due to MS??

  1. Funny I should stumble across your post...

6 feet 100 pounds... My cramping tingling and yes muscle loss, especially just recently... Probably had nothing to do with weight ☺☺☺

    1. U should have stated I have lived with MS for over 30 years disabled 11 years now.

After losing 180# in roughly one year, it was the lessoning of fatigue after the worker loss but it had been almost 6 years and the muscle loss is now appearing.

  2. Hi Robert- I've been diagnosed for 26 years. You're a guy, so weight issues are Very different, but if you don't mind explaining...how did you lose 180# in such a short time?
I'm trying so hard to remember if it was here or elsewhere that I just read an article about muscle loss. I do remember it saying that inactivity is a culprit, but dang, when it's all you can do to get out of bed, or take a shower and have enough energy enough to live, it puts exercise somewhere in the twilight zone.
I think it was here! An article about exercise helping fatigue. "Just 10 minutes a day".
