Cure Nat MS Liberation Fundraiser
Last updated: June 2013
Hello All,
My name is William Cheney, I have created this for my wife Natalie. Natalie suffers from Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis! We are trying to raise money for her to get tested for the Liberation Surgery. I met Natalie at a New Years Eve party when I was 16yrs old. I remember she was so beautiful! We were boyfriend and girlfriend for a short period of time, then she broke up with me. I was devastated! We lost contact with each other for over 28yrs. I wondered about what had ever happened to her over those years, and then on New Years Eve 2010/2011 I was on FaceBook and out of the blue there she was on my suggested friends. I sent a friend request and received a response within a few minutes. We have been inseparable ever since. We were Married on Sept 22, 2012. Natalie was diagnosed with Leukemia about 9yrs ago, and was only supposed to have anywhere from 6 mo-6yrs to live. She fought like a trooper for more than 7yrs when it finally went into remission. The doctor had her come to his office so he could do some final tests, and that is where things started to go wrong. He said he had some good news and some bad news, so he said "The Good News Is that your leukemia is now in remission, The bad news is that you have Multiple Sclerosis". He went on to say that She needed to undergo a series of tests to find out more about what type, Progression, Severity, Etc, She had. By the time she had fought the Leukemia, and underwent all the testing all Funding Natalie's savings were Completely Depleted. For the past 2 years I have watched Natalie battle M.S.. All the while wishing I could do something to help. I don't know how much more she can take! One Disease after another? We both have an income but it is very little. I started to search the internet looking for anything to help my wife.
All I want is for my wife to have a chance to have some sort of NORMALITY in her life. I found that a procedure is being done world wide that has a 50/50 chance of giving her just that. They are calling it the Liberation Procedure. The procedure costs upwards around $10,000 not including airfare, accommodations, Testing, Etc. My wife is a wonderful woman, and she tries very hard to keep a positive outlook on life. she spent her working part of her life as a holistic healer, helping others be free from pain and suffering in a natural way! She was denied 3 times for SSI because she did not want all those chemicals in her body from chemotherapy and now has to take Interferon shots every other day! Having fevers the day after shots, Not being able to go out of the house because it is to much work, fighting off anger, frustration, resentment, and flue like symptoms EVERY day. This is no way to live life! Natalie is my Princess, she means everything to me! I would give my own life, for her to have a better life! I would do anything for her! She is the kind of person that is needed most in this world, and I don't want US to lose her!
PLEASE HELP ME, HELP HER!
Thank you and May GOD Bless you in all your Endeavors
Sincerely
Natalie's Husband
William
