Alone

It is so very difficult fighting this disease and all that comes with it alone. You want to have some sensitivity. I would even settle for a lie of "everything is going to be o.k." Even a dying soldier gets to hear that. I hate hearing anything I can get you, rolled eyes, sitting near and proceeding to ignore. It is not an infsnt self soothe it's begging for attention. I've had an early lifetime, always seemed my health an issue, "stop crying that won't help."

I hope everyone has someone who cares.66

  1. Thank you so much for sharing so openly and honestly with us, Azjackie! Don't ever hesitate to post here! Please know we are here 24/7 as a community for people living with the effects of MS. You really hit the nail on the head with your words. Every human being deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. Your feelings matter! You might consider checking out this article on finding support when you don't have it at home -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/living-with-ms/seeking-support-when-you-dont-receive-it-from-home/. Also, this article discusses the NMSS (National Multiple Sclerosis Society) peer-to-peer support program -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/living-with-ms/i-want-to-talk-to-someone-who-has-been-there-who-can-i-call/. I describe it as "penpals for the digital age", as most of the communication is done online. I hope you have someone or something in your life that makes you smile. Thank you again for sharing. We are glad to have you here. Best, Erin, MultipleSclerosis.net Team Member.

    1. Hi Azjackie! Yup, I'm right there with ya-alone but without a diagnosis yet, and nobody willing or available to help me through this crap, just me, myself, and I! Wish I could offer you some comfort and advice with your situation, but that's what I'm looking for here as well. Hopefully, we will find the support, along with some answers and advice, that will help guide us on the right path so that we can finally find peace within ourselves and help those who come to their own conclusions about us to understand or know what it's like to deal with this crap day after day! Now I'm at a loss for words on how to end this reply, just with tears streaming down my face, cuz nothing seems appropriate no matter how many times I try typing stupid responses like "Best to you" or "Be Well." Psshht, just know that I care ok?
