Any information on Cladribine

Have been reading about Cladribine which appears to be an off label drug. It seems as though it is quite effective for MS without as many dangerous side effects as drugs like Tysabri and Lemtrada. Is anyone here on this treatment and if so how did they go about obtaining it?

  1. Hi Susanna! The last I heard about Cladribine was that it was in the production/testing phase (in 2013). My understanding was that it was pulled because test subjects developed cancer while on the medication. I will have to see if the information has changed, but here is what we have on Cladribine -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/research/mylinax-cladribine/. As with any medication, it is always best to weigh the pros and cons for yourself and your life. I know you already know that, but with medications that come with such potentially strong side effects, it's good to remember. I hope this information is helpful for you! Thanks so much for your question and for being a part of the MultipleSclerosis.net community. Best, Erin, MultipleSclerosis.net Team Member.
