Beyond tired

I was diagnosed Dec 10, this year...after a month of waiting to be approved for Tecidera by my insurance, I started my treatment .... Does this exhaustion end or subside? I just started the second course of the meds and still have no energy or enjoyment of doing anything! Is this normal? I don't even have the strength to push myself. I do have my faith which at least gives me hope....

  1. Hi Celia,

I'm sorry that you are not feeling well right now. For me, the fatigue did improve tremendously. It might take some time, however. Also, the first year after diagnosis is probably the toughest for many. There's so much new going on that it can become overwhelming. Please give yourself some time and be patient. Let the medications take effect. Also, keep in communication with your neurologist. If you experience another relapse, steroids might be needed. Your neurologist may also recommend other things you can do to combat current symptoms, such as fatigue. The emotional rollercoaster will eventually level out.

    Wish you the best,
    Lisa
