Guided Meditation

Meditation has been shown to have multiple benefits on a person’s health, both physical and emotional. Regular meditation can help relieve pain, increase positive emotions, and improve memory and concentration.

Guided meditation is one of the numerous ways to incorporate meditation into your life. In guided meditation, someone talks you through a visualization or awareness exercise. This guided meditation below is designed to help you reduce stress by leveraging the natural flow of your breath and focusing on body-centered awareness.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful meditation. I used it last night to help me move into the moment, allowing me to let go of the stress of the day as well of the physical and emotional stress of my MS symptoms. As I personally practice Mindfulness Meditation each day, I’ve learned to use my breath as an anchor throughout the day. I’ve learned to let go of the past; eliminate anxiety or worry about the future; staying in the now of life. This allows me to focus on being the best I can be, even in spite of the difficulties of life’s very unpredictable journey. In life’s path there are many cracks in the road that make you stumble and fall. What I’ve learned that’s important is not that you fall. What’s important is that you get up. Ruth.

Many thanks to the editorial team for posting this guided meditation piece. I actively engaged the breathing and imagery instruction for the entire eight-plus minutes and felt more relaxed by the end, as I’m sure others will, too. –Kim, moderator
