Matt Allen G
Matt Allen G was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in 2010 at the age of 20. He immediately started blogging about his MS experiences, hoping to raise awareness, inspire others, and educate those living with MS on how to advocate for themselves. Matt believes that knowledge is power and that understanding something better helps to alleviate the fear of it.
Matt is actively involved with the non-profit iConquerMS, where he manages their social media presence, helping to raise awareness and empower the MS community to participate in MS research.
Since the beginning of his MS journey, Matt has always wanted to help others understand what living with this disease is like. He loves hearing that he put something into words that someone else has experienced but could never quite describe. He also appreciates learning that his writing has helped loved ones of those with MS better understand what they are going through.
Humor is a core part of who Matt is, helping him process his experiences and maintain a positive attitude. He believes this approach has allowed him to survive the many ups and downs of life with MS. He currently resides in Southern California.
