Cool down

I live in the Midwest, specifically Kansas. We have had record high temperatures this summer! It was 115 with high humidity in a few days recently. I just feel like a wet rag, that someone wrung dry.. no energy, super tired, barely tolerating being outside at all, much less for any amount of time. I just stay in our basement most of the day, to escape the heat. My husband does all the outside work on the house, mowing, watering the yard and plants and flowers. I can't tolerate outside at all right now. I used to love summertime as a kid. Not anymore.
