Is there any help on getting a handicap van as I am on a fixed income?
Hello, I am using a wheelchair and I've been hauling it on the back of my truck but it's getting hard to load and unload. Thank you.
I did look at getting a van a few years ago. They are very expensive. I mean, if you want all the modifications that go with it. I'm not sure if there's any help out there for people on low incomes. My guess is probably not.
A number of grants and programs of assistance for many different items/services through Multiple Sclerosis Foundation at msfocus.org. They have helped a number of friends that need assistance - from cooling devices, emergency care, caretaker respite, emergency bills, transportation, computers, exercise and fitness. Check it out. Maybe not for van upgrades, but definitely for a number of categories that could make your life a bit easier. Welcome to the community MSTony!
