Livin my best life

Diagnosed in 2004 at age 27 I realized just how strong I really am. I had lost all feeling from the chest down, lost vision in my left eye & had vertigo along with extreme fatigue. I was admitted in the hospital for 8 days and put on IV Steroid drip.

With 2 boys who were only 9 & 5 at the time I had to push myself to regain my strength. With a some physical Therapy, I was back to normal within 6 months! Along with my loving husband (my Rock), I was able to work full time for 10 years!

I am now retired on Disability. I walk daily, care for my grandson one day a week & take care of my household! I volunteer a few days a week to be social with others. I have fatigue I deal with along with a few aches (which I associate to getting older!).

I know that I push myself most days but I will continue this lifestyle until I can't do it anymore! I will not let MS take over my life.

  1. What an awesome recovery story, ! I am glad you have been able to live life so fully ever since. People who are new to MS need to read stories like yours more often. Thanks for posting. Best wishes! - Lori (Team Member)
