Mixing Covid vaccines

I'm about to get my 4th jab two days from now. So far, I've stuck with Pfizer, but am wondering if I might get a better immune response by going with Moderna next.

Have any of you opted to go with a heterologous booster because you hoped for a higher neutralizing-antibody response from mixing doses?

If you've had both Pfizer and Moderna, did you notice different side effects with them?

I look forward to hearing your responses. 🙂

  1. , I have had three shots. Two were Moderna and one was Pfizer. My reaction with the Moderna shots were a little more pronounced, while I had no side effects (besides a sore arm) with the Pfizer shot. I know other people who have had the reverse experience (more reaction with the Pfizer). It really seems to depend on the individual. I think you should go with you feel the most comfortable with. Data has shown some promising results with mixing vaccines, but since new information is always coming out, who's to say what the newer data will show?

Either way, I hope you don't experience anything outside of the normal immune response (ie -- no MS flare ups!) and that you feel confident in your decision.

    1. Fibgers crossed. Thanks,

    2. , I was feeling all chuffed vax day and day after. Didn't feel much in way of side effects, aside from tender shoulder and tiredness. Then today kicked me with muscle aches in my neck and a headache. Took an Ibuprofen and am just keeping low key. Maybe I should be grateful for the booster half dose: don't like the potential side effect vomiting option 😉
