"Can I say that I’m done hearing how “sorry” people are without being rude? I don’t mean to be but the more I hear how sorry people are makes me feel worse some how. People say “”sorry” when something is really wrong with your life as if you have a “sorry” life or that it’s so bad it deserves pity! I love y’all but don’t say sorry! "
So many of us are guilty of saying "sorry" and I think oftentimes people use it because they don't know what else to say. It can be difficult to find the right words, but if we take the time to practice more empathy and a little more creativity in our language, it's easy to see that there are SO many better words to use. I love that you called this out @amypollock and shared how "sorry" actually makes you feel. - Shelby, MultipleSclerosis.net Team Member
I think that’s why it bothers me. It’s because I don’t necessarily need anyone to say anything ya know... I do understand that it is the first thing people say I believe it is out of habit. I just don’t like it.. Lol
"Oh boy what a loaded question to ask how I am today... Let’s just say I’ve not been out in days and days and I’m starting to get cabin fever. That has been my last year and I’m craving a life"
Hi @amypollock, thanks so much for letting us know how you're doing today. One of our advocates actually has an article about getting cabin fever with MS that I thought you might be interested in reading - https://multiplesclerosis.net/living-with-ms/cabin-fever-and-my-summer-depression/ MS can make one isolated in so many ways, and you're definitely not alone in feeling this way.
