  1. "11 days I've been stuck with bedrest. I tripped over my Jack Russell and fell backwards off my decking. At the hospital, I asked numerous times for them to cut my leggings, but they wouldn't. My leg swelled from knee to toes. Once I got home, my friend cut my my leggings to reveal a huge gash on my leg. He photographed it, as the hospital said it wasn't important enough. 2 days ago my doc said my leg was infected, and if antibiotics don't work I'll have to go in for an operation. My doc said for me to put a complaint in. I've been quite emotional about it all. Doc has upped my pain meds bc of the amount of pain I'm in. "

    1. my heart breaks for what you have been going through. I can't believe the hospital did not look at your leg. I agree with your doctor, you should put in a complaint. Is the antibiotics working? Please keep us posted. Jill (Team Member)

    2. Oh wow, that sounds like such a rough 11 days. I truly hate that you have to deal with this. Knowing you were telling the hospital over and over that something was wrong and they still didn’t take it seriously, that's not something you should have had to experience. You deserved to be listened to and properly examined from the beginning. But thank goodness for your friend for being there for you. And I’m also glad your doctor is taking it seriously now, and hopefully the antibiotics do their job so you can avoid another procedure. I know this has been emotional for you, but I am hopeful that things will turn around and get better for you. Your in our thoughts, Latoya (Team Member)

    3. Thank You LOL. Being a country hospital its hard for them to get docs. It seems they are scraping the scum off the pond to get doctors down here. And doctors that speak English. 2 great ones retired and ull be sad when mine does.too.

    4. Than you LOL. Im just lucky my 15yr old daughter has been supportive. She deserves a medal for everything she's seen me go through. It's easier now she's older to do things for herself. I told her if I have the op she will have to stay at her dads for a few days. It's just been so frustrating

    5. I am sure you are frustrated. When might you get the operation? Jill (Team Member)

    6. I'll find out on Monday when I see my primary do

    7. Awww, I see. I totally get it. My dad complains about this too (he lives in Alabama). He always talks about how hard it is to find good doctors in smaller towns and how frustrating it can be when he has to drive two hours just to see a good doctor or find one who’s available. There simply aren’t many options to choose from, so I can definitely understand why you’d be worried about losing yours too. Hopefully they stick around for a long time! -Latoya (Team Member)

  2. "On the 1st of April I twisted the tendons in my right foot according to the hospital. When I finally got to the physio he said Plantar fasciilis. So I've gone from a chemist bandage to physio taping it up. I finally started using a walking stick, in which the physio told me a couple of years ago to start using.
My doc is thinking of starting me in baclofen for my small nerve neuropathy. What's everyone's opinion on that medication?
Since I had a 5 week bout last November, I'm just not bouncing back like I normally do. Still have a weak left arm, swallow food and choking on drinks, and balance is worse. I can't get into a new spec till November. I'm sick and tired of being tired. "

    1. , oh, goodness. I am so sorry you have been dealing with tendon issues on top of those lingering symptoms from November. Am I understanding you correctly that you had an MS flare up in November and the issues have lingered since then?

I know it's frustrating when a flare ends but the problems it brought on don't go away.

Baclofen can be a great option, but, like any treatment for MS, what works for one person may not work as well for another. I wanted to share a couple of stories from our members on this medication. This member found Baclofen to be a good option -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/stories/something-that-might-help. And here is some helpful, basic information on some standard MS treatments, including Baclofen -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/living-with-ms/medications-symptoms. There's also some helpful input from community members in the comments at the end of the article. And, here's one member's experience with Baclofen, from the highs to the lows -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/stories/baclofen-spasticity. I hope these links give you some insight into the medication and how it has worked for various community members here. And I do hope you get some additional feedback as well.

    2. That’s a lot to be dealing with at once, and I’m really sorry you’re going through all of that. It makes sense you’re feeling exhausted when things just aren’t settling back down the way they normally do. Erin, provided so many great articles, I truly hope you're able to read them all. Waiting until November to be seen again has to be frustrating on top of everything else. But I hope you’re able to get some relief soon and things start to ease up a bit for you. Hang in there! All the best, Latoya (Team Member)

    3. Thank you
