"11 days I've been stuck with bedrest. I tripped over my Jack Russell and fell backwards off my decking. At the hospital, I asked numerous times for them to cut my leggings, but they wouldn't. My leg swelled from knee to toes. Once I got home, my friend cut my my leggings to reveal a huge gash on my leg. He photographed it, as the hospital said it wasn't important enough. 2 days ago my doc said my leg was infected, and if antibiotics don't work I'll have to go in for an operation. My doc said for me to put a complaint in. I've been quite emotional about it all. Doc has upped my pain meds bc of the amount of pain I'm in. "

  1. my heart breaks for what you have been going through. I can't believe the hospital did not look at your leg. I agree with your doctor, you should put in a complaint. Is the antibiotics working? Please keep us posted. Jill (Team Member)

  2. Oh wow, that sounds like such a rough 11 days. I truly hate that you have to deal with this. Knowing you were telling the hospital over and over that something was wrong and they still didn’t take it seriously, that's not something you should have had to experience. You deserved to be listened to and properly examined from the beginning. But thank goodness for your friend for being there for you. And I’m also glad your doctor is taking it seriously now, and hopefully the antibiotics do their job so you can avoid another procedure. I know this has been emotional for you, but I am hopeful that things will turn around and get better for you. Your in our thoughts, Latoya (Team Member)

  3. Thank You LOL. Being a country hospital its hard for them to get docs. It seems they are scraping the scum off the pond to get doctors down here. And doctors that speak English. 2 great ones retired and ull be sad when mine does.too.

  4. Than you LOL. Im just lucky my 15yr old daughter has been supportive. She deserves a medal for everything she's seen me go through. It's easier now she's older to do things for herself. I told her if I have the op she will have to stay at her dads for a few days. It's just been so frustrating

  5. I am sure you are frustrated. When might you get the operation? Jill (Team Member)

  6. I'll find out on Monday when I see my primary do

  7. Awww, I see. I totally get it. My dad complains about this too (he lives in Alabama). He always talks about how hard it is to find good doctors in smaller towns and how frustrating it can be when he has to drive two hours just to see a good doctor or find one who’s available. There simply aren’t many options to choose from, so I can definitely understand why you’d be worried about losing yours too. Hopefully they stick around for a long time! -Latoya (Team Member)
