  1. "I was diagnosed with RRMS in 2005 at the age of 28. My first exacerbation was 4 years after that. Shortly thereafter, I had my second exacerbation. Since then, I have not had another attack. Trust me, I don’t wish to experience another attack.,
Yes, I have MS related issues that have changed my life.
My Neurologist mentioned that my MS has been quiet for a while now. Have any of you experienced your MS being quiet for a long amount of time? "

    1. Hi . The MS journey is different for everyone, so you are likely to get a lot of different answers. My father's MS was quiet for a few decades. Based on his health records, doctors believe the onset was in the late 1950s, but he didn't progress significantly until the 1990s. A close friend of mine was diagnosed at 20 years old and has not had a significant relapse since. She is now 38. Her mother, who is in her 60s, just had her first relapse in 15 years three weeks ago. She is now almost fully recovered. So, it can happen. Are you taking any medications to slow the progression? Best wishes! - Lori (Team Member)

    3. , I was also diagnosed in 2005. During those first couple of years, my MS was quite active with 2-3 relapses each year. But like you, I found a DMT that worked and slowed things down. I've now been stable for over a decade with only 2 relapses in 10 years. It's really nice when MS is quiet! Best wishes, Lisa

    1. So sorry to hear that, @ninjamomma77. I know that must be so difficult and painful to manage on top of MS. You are not alone as I know some other members of our community also deal with migraines.
