Everything is a Balance

Through adversity I have learned how to be positive. Through indifference I have learned how to give and receive love. Without injustice I would have never learned how to be tolerant. And without experiencing fear I would never have gained courage.

All of the things that I used to claim as negative experiences in my life I have found gratitude for enduring. For without the negative I would have never understood the gravity of the positive.

Life is exactly what you make of it. You can get stuck in the negative experience and carry it with you forever. Or you can find a way to feel grateful for it and open up that space for something new and wonderful to replace it.

What a fabulous perspective, MamaJama! While it may not be easy to see the positive in a chronic condition like MS, finding the good in our trials gives MS a little less power! In light of your post, I thought you might relate to this article from one of our contributors — Thank you for sharing your perspective and positivity with the community! Best, Erin, Team Member.
