Body Snatchers Be Gone

MS can be an isolating disease. People on the street sometimes look at me like I am drunk. I smile and play along keeping them guessing.

Daily pain and balance issues

I do have daily pain and balance issues but I keep it balanced with my cocktail of drugs. The pandemic has added a whole other mountain to deal with. Not seeing my family as much and staying away from people makes me sometimes want to scream in frustration. But I have a great guy who cooks for me, drives for me, and best of all keeps me standing upright moving forward...

What I do when I need to escape

I try to never put off what I CAN do today... I do yoga and swim walk, mindful meditate, journal and read read read. Life is mostly good. When I get down in the dumps I journal or put on one of my old albums that take me to a different time and place for just a little while. A place before I had this worrisome disease. I seem to need to escape off and on.

I just want to stay ME

Stay strong my friends... new treatments are coming out every day. There are great doctors in this field. We are living in an amazing time to have this MS disease. We all would like a cure but mostly I just want to stay ME. Give out a little kindness into the world, take off my mask, and smile at someone. For now, eye contact will have to suffice.
