MS and Me

I was diagnosed with MS about a year ago. Since then my life has changed dramatically. First, everyone says (or they want to believe,) he looks normal. All I can say is I don’t feel normal (what is normal anyway?) Day to day life can be a challenge to say the least. Prior to the diagnosis I had what would be considered a good income, now I have a hard time keeping a job. Understating reality, life has changed.

Thanks for the community who can relate to what I am going through.

I was officially diagnosed a few months ago, only after months of testing and a stint in the hospital. I’m 21 and have to use a cane while walking. I’ve gotten inquisitive and sometimes bad looks from people while out. It’s gotten to the point where I avoid very public places. I understand people can’t help but to be curious, but it doesn’t help much.

    hi Dave,
Just wanted to say hi. I totally understand the impression of looking normal to the world. Of course we want to look normal, but we also know that a lot is going on inside, and it’s not so normal. Stay strong, and be yourself cause everyone else is taken!
