MS saved my life

I was diagnosed with ms in 2008 at age 50. I was a high functioning drug addict and alcoholic. The 2 years following my diagnosis was absolute hell. I lost the will to live and drowned my sorrows further in drugs and alcohol. Not having the physical strength anymore due to MS I was brought to my knees and received help for my addiction.
Looking back now, had I not been diagnosed with MS I would surely have died from addiction. My MS saved my life. Some days are harder than others for sure, i call those ms days. I am tired, achy and forgetful at times but I am alive. MS is part of who I am today.
What will be will be. This is my path.
