Slowing with Appreciation

MS has given me a second chance at life in many ways. Before I ran a business, I did homeschooling, and most days were pretty nonstop. MS has a way of teaching us to listen more to ourselves and allow grace where needed. Life has, in a sense, slowed a bit. In prioritizing my new needs, I get to spend quality time with those I care most about. Some days I use chilling vests. Others I trade for snow pants; all days in between, I use walking aids. In learning to balance adaptively, I find myself under life's umbrella, shielded from the rain. Taking the time to cherish and appreciate all around me. MS has taught me to take life one day at a time with a smile and a warm heart.
