Under my skin

I am having a hard time with this. Maybe someone can help me figure it out. On top of everything I am going through with my MS I found my brother after 15 years. He was in the Federal Pen. I was elated that we finally got back together it was as if he dropped off the face of the earth. I invited him over for Christmas last year and he stayed a week with me so that we could catch up. I loved it and I missed him so much I never stopped trying to find him. I have a 28 year old daughter and her 2 year old daughter who lives with me. For the entire year it was as if he never left we had so much fun this past
year. For the past 9 months he has been making sexual advances to my daughter. I called him and told him it makes my daughter uncomfortable and I wanted him to stop immediately. My daughter is really upset about this she loved him as her Uncle and that's all. Well I had all the family over at Thanksgiving he came with his girlfriend I was so busy talking to everyone I didn't see him hug my daughter and lick in her ear she was fuming but immediately came and told me after everyone left. I called him on the phone and I let him have it. He told me he would stop but he said she had on a robe and he was picturing what she had on underneath. I was floored he told me he wants to (expletive) my daughter. What gave him the right to hurt my daughter and me, where did he get off thinking it is Ok to have relations with a blood relative. We where not raised like that. We where raised with ethics, morals and character, how dare he assume that I would just stand by. My daughter is crying everyday about this, because he also offered her $50 to stay the night with him, I am truly sick over this. I wish she could press charges on him I don't know where to turn. We have cut him off from the family and I have told everyone in the family not to let him around there children. We don't speak to him call him and the family does the same. What else can I do? He is a sick individual and I'm glad we found out his true colors before anything happened.

  1. Hi Cheryl,

I'm so sorry to hear that your family is dealing with this. The stress and worry it causes must be difficult. Sounds like you and your daughter are handling the situation very well. Fabulous that you and she have the type of relationship where you can both be honest with each other.

Best wishes to both of you,
    Lisa
