Martin,, what a total pleasure to see you in the flesh, such as it is! It was a hoot to listen to you explain your diagnostic process and to hear you talk about your symptoms, especially the heat sensitivity and the sensory overload. (I'm a bit worried as Christmas is coming up, that has a way of overloading my brain BIG TIME.) YOu sounded a bit peeved when you had to advocate for yourself when it came time for you to start using Ocrevus. I'm just here to remind you that noone knows more about your case of MS, what your symptoms are, what your history with the disease has been, and how you want to be treated, so it makes a certain kind of sense that you would have to be your own tireless advocate. The doctors can't read your mind, G-d knows, and they sure don't have your self-knowledge. Most of the moderators and contributors to this forum will be the first to say that the only way you're going to be treated to your satisfaction is to bbe a tireless self advocate. You are the expert in YOU, and that's the higher authority you need to call upon to get the treatment you want. (for example, they seem to have pulled you off the Ocrevus because of the heart attack, as if the Ocrevus CAUSED the heart attack? I thought you called that one correctly when you said it was the stress rather than the medication that caused the heart attack. Of course, I'm not a healthcare professional, but if I were in your position, I'd point out the fallacy of post hoc, propter hoc. Just because the heart attack happened after you started using Ocrevus doesn't mean that the infusion CAUSED the heart attack. I hope your advocacy gets you back on a diseae modifying therapy soon, and I'm glad to hear that Ocrevus was doing you good! I could go on and on but I'm stopping here.
