Another Icky Flare up!

Currently going through a flare up being treated with a 5 day solu-medrol treatment. We had to halt my last two dosages due to my sugars going too high now we are hoping insulin resolves those issues so I can finish. I am feeling all type of defeated right now. I have completely finished my treatment of Mavenclad this January and it was so unexpected to have a setback. I have more disease progression that I have had since being diagnosed.... I don't want to have MS anymore🙁

  1. I'm sending warm thoughts and hugs your way. Maybe after you finish the solu-medrol your MS will settle down for a while. No matter how long we live with MS, a new setback seems to take us by surprise and always make us feel defeated. Hopefully, when this is all over and levels off, you will not have as much progression as you thought. With support and understanding, Debbie (Team Member)

    1. , ugh! I am so sorry you are dealing with a flare up! I don't blame you one bit for feeling like you are just done dealing with your MS. I know pretty much every community member here can relate!

I hope you don't have any more flares or setbacks!

      1. You changed your diet at all?

        1. For many of us, what and how we eat can have a positive effect, but we are all different and respond differently. We can try things to see if it helps us feel better, because when we feel better we do better. It can be tricky to determine what actually is giving us benefit when our body is in turmoil due to flares, steroids, etc. One suggestion I have about diet when on steroids is to restrain from eating salty and processed foods since these retain body water. Sometimes steroids cause us to more, too. The main goal thing to keep in mind about diet is to eat healthy which positively supports the immune system. Thanks for bringing up diet, Craig!
