Does everyone with MS have oligoclonal bands in CSF?
I was first diagnosed when I went to ER with Optic Neuritis. MRI showed a lot of lesions but NO oligoclonal bands.
I've read that some people present with no o bands. In their csf. For a while o bands were not as significant as they once were but now they are very significant in people who present with a smaller amount of lesions or atypical lesions such as myself. They revised the McDonald criteria to reflect so..
