First infusion.

Got my first Ocrevus infusion on Tuesday. Can someone walk me through all what will happen? My nerves are starting to get to me. Thanks.

  1. Hi, ! It's totally normal to feel nervous about infusions and I think I can help you out with some info. One of our contributors wrote a piece walking us through her first infusion day, step-by-step -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/living-with-ms/first-ocrevus-infusion. And, here's a piece by one of our community members -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/stories/my-ocrevus-toe-dip. And this piece is specifically about how one might feel AFTER infusions -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/living-with-ms/feel-after-infusion.

The first article, especially, takes it hour by hour and may help ease your nerves. Do you have someone to go with you to your first infusion? You don't have to have someone there, but that's totally an option if it will help put you at ease.

I hope this information is helpful and that your procedure goes smoothly! We'll be thinking about you!

    1. Well, I survived my first 300ml. Have to go back on the 5th for my second. The only side effects so far were the back of my head got itchy during the infusion and I got a headache at bed time.

      1. , Woo hoo! That's awesome! I hope your side effects stay mild (and short lived).
