Gold Nanocrystal Remyelination Phase 2 Clinical Trial Update - Four months after last dose

Below is an update on my situation since my last posting on October 4 which can be found here:
https://multiplesclerosis.net/forums/gold-nanocrystal-remyelination-phase-2-clinical-trial-update-three-months-after-last-dose
I have experienced no further degradation in my MS symptoms and have noticed remaining benefits from the Clene Nanomedicine therapy. I recently went on a 10-day vacation and business trip to Spain and walked a significant amount. I walked over 10,000 steps 5 of the 10 days I was there. I did have a few trips and some balance issues while walking, but it wasn’t as bad as I was anticipating. The temperature was in the high 70’s/low 80’s during the day and my improved heat tolerance was sufficient to not experience severe numbness or double vision.
According to my iPhone health app, I noticed that so far for 2022 I am averaging over 4,700 steps per day - which is a 30% improvement from 2021. I firmly believe that this is a result of being on the Clene trial drug. It will be important for Clene to get through the FDA process as quick as possible to help not just me, but anyone else with MS symptoms that are reducing their quality of life. I have been in touch with others who have been part of the Clene clinical trial for MS and they also confirm symptom improvement while on the drug and afterwards.
It is frustrating to see how slow the trials are moving related to data collection and analysis. Also, wish that the FDA approval process could be accelerated for a therapy that has been studied for several years with almost zero adverse side effects for those who have taken the drug. If I could, I would sign any FDA and/or company liability waiver tomorrow and pay to get access to the drug – it’s that important to maintain my livelihood and forget about having noticeable MS symptoms.
Happy to answer any questions on my symptom improvements and the clinical trial experience.

  1. What great news, ! I hope you continue to see improvements and that the FDA moves on this quickly. Hopefully, the majority of people in the study are having similar results. Thanks so much for keeping us up-to-date on your progress. I always look forward to your posts. Best wishes! - Lori (Team Member)

    1. , I look forward to your updates! And yes, while I understand the abundance of caution on the company's/FDA's part, I know it can be frustrating!

      1. Good afternoon…I will be starting this trial as a Phase 2 participant/2nd Cohort. I have heard that as a Phase 2 participant (which I think you are) you will be entitled to their EAP (Early Access Program) which is phenomenal news!!

Would love to connect so please let me know 😀.

        Best,
        Judy
