Has anyone tried Botox to reduce spasticity?

I am having increasing spasticity in my legs. My foot drop and foot slap are getting worse, which is a tripping/falling hazard.

I read that Botox injections can help. These shots are injected into the calf to relax the muscle and support its function, reduce pain, and increase range of motion. This may provide temporary relief for up to 3–4 months.

Would be interested in hearing from anyone who has tried it.

Thanks.

  1. Hi, !

I know at least a few of our community members have used Botox specifically for leg spasticity. I wanted to share this conversation from our forums on that very topic -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/forums/botox-injections. It can definitely be a viable treatment option and I hope if you try it, that it works well for you!
