"I think it's shingles or MS."
January 26th 2001 I went to the doctor because my right leg was numb. After some time he said that I have 1 of 2 things: MS or shingles. It was a Friday so he had me wait until Monday to see if i broke out in shingles...I didn't breakout. So he suggested a neurologist that would help explain MS.
Scarey thought at 20 years old with only 6 months to my 21st birthday, and 1st year of college.
So I made appointment with neurologist order an MRI of the spine and a CT scan. CT scan showed speckles and the MRI showed the lesions on the spine...so the 20s
were trying, fiscally and mentally.
I'm 41 and more knowledgeable about MS!
That must have been overwhelming and frightening to be diagnosed just as you were striking out on your own, ready to choose your path in life,
