JC Virus Stratified blood test
Hi there! We recently moved to NC and I had my 1st appt with my new Neurologist last week. She was wonderful and really took time with me and ordered bloodwork and MRI’s. I am able to see my lab results online and I’m a bit concerned because I tested positive for the JC Virus stratified blood test. (<20 is normal and mine was .50) My segmented neutrophils test was very high as well. Anyone else? I’m petrified of getting PML. I have been on Tecfidera for 6 years. I’m thinking my doc will be switching meds…
Hi @athomerhonda. Hopefully, your doctor will discuss the results at length with you and help you decide whether you should remain on Tecfidera. Here is an article that might interest you.
