Miracle of GOD

At the age of 27 I had to kids ages 9 & 5. I was working full-time, taking care of my family and started feeling numbness in my feet & hands. I put off getting medical care due to lack of Health Insurance. It took me getting Vertigo, Optic-Neuritis and bad fatigue to seek help. I ended up with total numbness from the chest to my feet and could not feel my arms. It was only when I feel in the bathroom that we went decided to go directly to the Emergency room Fathers Day 2004. I was kept 8 days and put on a serious steroid drip while in the hospital. I had to learn how to walk again and strengthen my core. I praise GOD for helping me get through this horrible time. Today I am 47, a grandmother of 2 and I am on SSDI. My family continues to support me in all I do. I volunteer, walk the dog and keep up the house. Most days are great but as you know some days are a challenge. As of today I only fight the fatigue and have regained all other functions.

  1. thank you for sharing your incredible story. It sounds like it was quite a long journey to a diagnosis for you. That's unfortunately all too common with MS. That said, I'm glad that you were ultimately able to get the treatment that you needed once you did get properly diagnosed. You've certainly come a long way since that day and you're a beacon of hope for us all. Thank you for sharing your story and being part of our community.
