MRI

The last time I had an MRI, after it was over and I was trying to get up and get dressed, I had an awful time seeing. I was seeing an aura. Then came the horrible headache. My doctor wants me to have another MRI and I am scared that this will happen again. Does the loud noise in the MRI have anything to do with this? I have been putting off having this done again. How can I avoid this?

  1. , wow! What a scary experience! Have you talked to your doctor about your concerns? Did your doctor discuss with you what might have caused your reaction after the last MRI? Do you have access to open MRI machines, which may be a bit less noisy? I wish I had some great suggestions, but I don't have any experience with an MRI reactions like yours. My best advice is keeping the lines of communication with your doctor open, which I assume you probably are doing. Hopefully, he/she is open to listening to your concerns.

I do hope some community members can chime in with their MRI experiences and suggestions.
