PowerPro vibration plate

Anyone have experience using a vibration plate for fitness with
mS?

  1. I personally don't have any experience with a vibration board, . Have you used one before or are you considering using one?

    1. I just recently heard about vibration plates. Pub Med has some research regarding them being helpful for many things including balance, osteoporosis, strength training. Fitness clubs like Life Fitness have some you can try - very, very expensive but you can purchase smaller ones for personal use at home. Powerplate.com

      1. This is my first time hearing of this and after doing some research, it appears to be beneficial for stimulating muscles and enhancing workouts. If you decide to try it, I encourage you to consult with your healthcare provider before incorporating this type of equipment into your routine if you haven't already done so. But it does sound like something that could be helpful! Keep us updated if you do give it a try! -Latoya (Team Member)

    2. yes the vibration plates have been shown to be really helpful for those living with MS, especially to develop muscle in a shorter period of time, making it especially helpful when battling fatigue. While I know many people love and swear by then, I have a vibration plate and don't love it. I personally don't like the vibration feeling. I may be the only one, but I feel like it shakes my nervous system. Some gyms have them, so maybe you could find a gym close to you so you could try it out before having the expense of buying one on your own.

      1. Thanks for the input! I will be trying one in a local gym and discuss with my neuro. Will post my experience. It seems like a good option for me with osteoporosis, scoliosis - limited ability to exercise.

        1. That sounds like a great plan, and yes, it seems like it could be a great fit for you. Thanks for sharing your experience. I look forward to hearing about it.
