Question about treatment

I was seen yesterday by my neurologist and he told me I have mild MS based on the fact I only have 2 lesions on my spine and several on the brain that are not “impressive”. He also said my physical exam is normal and not consistent with MS but the MRIs supersede any exam findings and therefore diagnosed me with MS, RRMS to be specific. He has recommended Tysabri infusions as my treatment. Does anyone have experience that they could share regarding this drug?

  1. Hi, ! I hope other community members see your post and chime in with their experiences with Tysabri. Here is some basic information about the medication -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/treatment/tysabri/side-effects-safety-profile-review. I wanted to share a piece from one of our contributors about his experience with Tysabri (please check out the many member comments following the article as well) -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/living-with-ms/the-before-and-after-of-a-tysabri-infusion. Please note that the author's MS progression is pretty significant, so your experience will likely not be the same as his (ie -- the severity of his MS symptoms leading up to an infusion, etc).

Like any treatment, what works for one person may not work as well for another. I hope you and your physician find the right treatment for you!
