I have ringing ears and sort of a dull ache. Sometimes in my jaws. Is this MS?

Hi mascha! I know quite a few of our members have mentioned their struggles with ear issues and jaw pain. The ringing is sometimes due to a condition called tinnitus, which you can read about here -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/living-with-ms/how-sleep-tinnitus-rare-symptom/. And here are some tips gathered from our community members on how to manage tinnitus -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/living-with-ms/ms-and-tinnitus-how-do-you-cope/. As far as jaw pain, some of our members deal with Trigeminal Neuralgia, which you can read about here -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/stories/trigeminal-neuralgia-feel-pain/ or TMJ -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/living-with-ms/jaws-tmj-bruxism-their-relation-to-ms-and-why-were-gonna-need-a-bigger-boat/. If this is a new or worsening symptom for you, please don't hesitate to contact your physician. I hope this information is helpful! Best, Erin, MultipleSclerosis.net Team Member.

Hi yes I deal with this daily and it seems to worsen with changes stress sudden movements I have an Otolaryngologist who specializes in MS so he gives me steroid drops that helps also my MS does something to the Labrynth crystals so the have to be fixed but a good ear doc can lessen it but I’ve never gotten rid of it. Meditation and focusesed breathing helps me Good luck!
