Has anyone else had a positive VNG test that helped to get MS diagnosis?

I recently had a consult with an ENT regarding tinnitus and after testing my hearing found out I am losing my hearing. She quizzed about dizziness and ended sending me for balance testing. My VNG was positive for central nervous system disorder. She said it would be very beneficial for the neurologist to now diagnose MS. Has anyone else had this happen?

  1. Hi , thanks so much for reaching out here. I have not personally heard of a positive VNG test leading to an MS diagnosis, but I know that many community members' eventual diagnosis came about from first seeking treatment for other symptoms, like vision problems. You can read more about that here if you're interested: https://multiplesclerosis.net/ms-in-america-2013/initial-ms-symptoms/

I hope that others who may be familiar with this will respond to you here. Thinking of you and thank you again for reaching out!
