What I've Learned in 20 Years Since My MS Diagnosis

It's been 20 years since my MS diagnosis! When I was first diagnosed I was so afraid for my future and although it's not what I thought it would be, I'm okay! Life went on, and along the way, I learned a few things.

How long has it been since you were diagnosed? What was the most important thing that you've learned?

  1. Hi Tracithau, I first got my symptoms 27 years ago and the doctors finally diagnosed me 10 years after that. Most important thing that I've learned in that time is that there is hope. Diet makes a big difference. Your mindset makes a big difference. Getting onto forums like this makes a difference. so hang in there everyone and let's get this thing beat.

    1. I completely agree!

  2. You have come a long way and sharing your thoughts about hope speak volumes. Hope gives us resilience to go forward and keep learning about things to help us feel better. Best wishes as you continue on, Debbie (Team Member)

    1. Thank you 😀 At first, I never shared my thoughts or feelings with anyone but once I did I found that it helped a lot. Only people with MS really get it and speaking with you all and hearing your experiences is an important part of my mental well-being.
