Hi Dozer1014! I am so sorry you are experiencing this frustrating issue. While we cannot provide medical advice or diagnosis, for your safety, I will say that it sounds like you may not be fully emptying your bladder when you self-cath or, more likely, your bladder may be having some other issues that require examination and treatment. If you haven't already, I would talk to your urologist and tell him/her exactly what is going on. Any number of issues could be causing this problem and it's best to be seen by a professional to figure out what's going on. I thought you might appreciate this personal story from one of our contributors about her bladder and self-cath issues -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/living-with-ms/how-drinking-water-saved-my-bladder/. Also, some medications used to treat MS can cause bladder issues, including Ampyra. So, please discuss this with your physician so you can get some answers and hopefully, some relief! Best of luck and please feel free to come back and update us on your situation, should you feel comfortable doing so. Thank you for reaching out and have a good night. Best, Erin, MultipleSclerosis.net Team Member.
