"2 months ago I was fired from yet another job. I was denied disability and yet if I can not fulfill a position like everyone else and in the way I was expected to without accomodations....then where does that leave me?
I have an interview for yet a different type of job again but I can already forsee the issues that will arise because of fatigue + short term memory. Those were the 2 main symptoms of my MS that lead to me being fired in the last 2 jobs. "Looking at nature during my solitude.

  1. this is heartbreaking. I can't even imagine how challenging this has been for you. Thank you for having the courage to share with us. I am sending over this forum discussion from our members who share similar experiences, I really hope that something in this thread will help you: https://multiplesclerosis.net/forums/work-mistakes-with-ms. 2. I still have not found a new job. I had several interviews but then I broke my ankle. And because I can not stand on my feet all day those jobs did not call me back to hire me.
Right now I am delivery driver for DoorDash. It does not pay enough for me to be able to pay all my bills. 😟👎

  3. I am sorry to hear about your ankle. What is the recovery time? I hope you can heal quickly and try again with interviewing. I know you said it is not enough, but I am glad you are able to be a delivery driver until you get better. Please keep us posted with how you are doing. Jill (Team Member)

  4. Ugh- I hate you have to go through this right now. Quick question- have you considered working remotely from home? -Latoya (Team Member)

  5. Yes I have and I applied for one job online but never heard back. I don't know where else to turn. So actually today after applying to 10 different jobs I got one call back for an interview after I did a at home interview over my phone and they saw me as a potential candidate. So I'm going in for that position which is just associate at Best Buy. Hopefully my sale skills are going to be up to par. It's been a few years. Also, I can't learn quickly anymore. So one question I'm going to ask in the interview is "What support do you provide for training, if any?
Back my mind. I'm just thinking about the few mistakes I made in the recorded interview that I did that led to them calling me so right then by doing that, it's telling myself that my memory works in weird ways. FedEx is not the same as office Depot and so I must have been looking at FedEx sign. While I was doing the action I told them I was doing and maybe that's why. When I was in the office Max I said that I was at FedEx. Also the woman over the phone who called to schedule the interview for today, I asked her what the name of the hiring manager was and she told me but I instantly forgot. So when I go there today for the interview I'm just going to say that I'm there to see the hiring manager.

  6. I have an interview today at Best Buy. I had a recorded interview online that was videoed and then I got the call back to go in today for an in-person interview. After making some mistakes on the phone interview that I noticed and I'm making a mistake over the phone once speaking with the woman who is scheduling me for the interview. I know that this job will not be easy and I will be making mistakes everyday. So I'm just going to ask them what they have for training so that way I can figure out how to make sure I stay on top of things. Maybe by keeping a notebook or having posted surviving everything down to be able to study and bring home or something.

  7. I am so glad to hear you had an in person interview today. I hope you hear back soon. I think it is great that you want to ask what they offer for training. And keeping a to do list is also a good idea. Everyone makes mistakes, the fact that you want to stay ahead of the game by studying and making lists, is awesome. Please keep us posted.
