Feels Like Sinus Pain

I totally understand about the "face pain". I fell and had a concussion 3 years ago. I experienced headaches for almost a year. Then they slowly subsided. January 2020, injured my back/swollen muscles playing with my 3-year-old grandson. Day after that, the headaches have returned.

Face pain that resembles sinusitis

I just went for an MRI on my brain and neck today. I go tomorrow for an MRI on my spine. That injury has triggered the headache which almost resembles sinusitis. I've been on steroids and now antibiotics. But it's not helping the headaches. Some days aren't bad, and other days they're debilitating. So I truly understand and BELIEVE what you're describing. Hang in there.

I am sure it is frustrating to be in so much pain when you have a child so young.  My prayers are with you but the prednisone and carbamazepine 100 ER are working together will get answers concerning pain Monday YAY did MRI so promise will tell everyone.

Well, I have been to my MS Specialist/Neurologist and there's been no significant difference between these MRI'S and those from a year ago. He doesn't know why I'm experiencing these headaches. He suggested I see an ENT. Went yesterday to see the ENT doctor but unfortunately my appointment was all of 5 minutes as he was called to the hospital for an emergency. Before he left he checked my ears and I do have fluid in the ear where my hearing is diminished. Today I went to the cardiologist. At this point, I'm touching base with all my doctors to reassure myself they're not missing something. I have another appointment with the ENT doctor next week to finish my last visit. After that, the only doctor left is the eye doctor. I know this Covid-19 crap has made life stressful for everyone. So maybe I'm letting the stress get the best of me. Or maybe I'm just crazy!

 Best to cover all the bases, <inline-mention user-id="4092443" username="eggladym1"/> ! Do you have another appointment with the ENT since your previous one was cut short? Given that you have fluid in your ears, has your doctor considered allergies? Sometimes, severe headaches are my only allergy symptom. I hope you figure out what is causing these headaches and that you find some relief. Keep us posted! - Lori (Team Member)

Yes, I have an appointment next week to finish my visit from this week with the ENT. We've thought about allergies. We live in the woods. It seems like my nose is either running or stuffy. I'm sneezing, my eyes itch, etc. I take zyrtec, recommended by my family doctor, but maybe that's not strong enough. So hopefully it is just allergies. Wouldn't that be great! Thank you the information. I appreciate it!

Hi Lori. Yes, I read that article, too. It gave me pause. But like Matt, I hate to assume it's JUST another symptom of MS . This disease does such crazy different stuff to people, it's just hard to put the blame totally on MS. However, I was telling my mom just yesterday, if the nerves are being exposed from the deterioration of the myelin sheath, then it very well could be JUST the MS. At least it would be an explanation.
