There Is No “Why Me?” There Is Only “What’s Next?”

We make do with the cards we are dealt with. There is no "Why me?" There is only "What's Next?". We are here because we took what life gave us and to make the best of it.

This is all we could do, this is all we should do. To make the best of the worst possible situation. No one will judge you if you stop for a moment and weep. No, my friend. It's ok to cry. But once you let it out, when the tears have dried, lift your head and look around you. You will see your family and your friends. They haven't left you.

We have not left you as well.

It's now time to lace up your shoes. To gather your things and take the first step. The first step of the rest of your life. For it is your life. What you have worked for, to build piece by piece, your dreams. It's still there, keep building. Keep dreaming. Never stop.

Yes, we can not deny that we have an incurable disease. No matter what positive words you may say, it will be with us for the rest of our lives. But my friend, it is ok. It's going to be all right. We will learn to live with it. We may have to adjust a few things here or there, but in time you will manage to do anything and everything you wanted to do before.

When there are moments when you cannot carry on. Stop and take a seat. To rest and breathe once more. As I said before, no one will judge you. Your not the same as you used to be, a rest break will be needed, but it's ok. It's life. It's not a problem. Once you are ready, stand back up and continue where you left off.

That's it, that's all there is to it.

See? It's not so bad. Trust me, it's not as scary as you thought it would be.

If you have a low point, come here. Talk to us. We won't bite. We won't judge as well. We will listen. We will understand, more so than anyone else out there. As we have been in your shoes. We are still in your shoes. We will do our best to cheer you up. To help you find your smiles, to show you it's ok to laugh, to cheer for the next day. To welcome the new year that approaches. To look forward to it all.

We make do with the cards we are dealt with. There is no "Why me?" There is only "What's Next?". We are here because we took what life gave us and to make the best of it.
