Has anyone else experienced extreme pain and numbness in half of your face and head?

At 77 I thought I had been through everything MS could throw at me. BUT, this past week I had something new. I woke up at 2 in the morning and half of my face and head were extremely painful even to touch. It felt numb, but also very uncomfortable to touch. This lasted 3 days and is just now letting up. Am I the only one that has had this happen?
