How 2 du it.

I don't need no stinkin' instructions. Well, maybe. My last project was the assembly of a bed rail to assist me in and out of bed. This is so simple the instructions were tossed into File13. Not a good decision.
The bed rail consists of seven parts: a cross piece, and six extensions (three on each side of the cross piece) that, when properly assembled, tuck under the mattress to secure the cross piece.
An hour later and a headache the job is done. The problem was those six pieces in any configuration will assemble into anything not resembling a bed rail. Take it apart, do it again.
Now, where are those instructions? I'm still Tarzan but not king of the jungle.

  1. Oh goodness, ! Can I relate! I am notorious for thinking "I got this" when, in fact, I so do NOT "got this". And frankly, I've learned that most 'easy assembly' furniture is anything but!

The good news for any future projects is that you can usually look up instructions online to almost anything. If you have the exact model number of your product, it's worth a shot.

    Good luck!

    1. About the only assembly I caqn do with any hope of anything a pproaching success is cooking. Anything else, and I immediately think of all the testing that used to be done on children when I was a fledgling. I scored high in just about everything except understanding spatial relationships, and I got a 5% on that. It's usfficiently challenging for me too get my shoes on, and with that, my motto is TGIF. toes go in first. I hear you, bro!
