Hello Everyone,
Not sure how many of you are from the Ohio area but I wanted to get the word out there. I am currently a Registered Nurse at an amazing nonprofit MS clinic here in Ohio: The Oak Clinic for Multiple Sclerosis. The Oak Clinic offers care to ALL MS patient’s regardless of their ability to pay. Our staff goes above and beyond to give every patient the care they need to have the best quality of life possible.
We treat over 2,000 MS patient’s and because we are not government funded we rely heavily on our fundraisers and donations. With that being said I would like to tell everyone about the fundraiser we have coming up in May!
On Sunday, May 19th, The Oak Clinic is having a fundraiser at the Akron Aero’s Stadium in downtown Akron. We are selling tickets for 8 dollars at the Oak Clinic and also on our website at http://www.oakclinic.com. We are having an “Orange Out” theme to spread MS awareness and will be selling specialized orange shirts for 10 dollars. The game starts at 2:05 P.M. on Sunday, May 19th.
There is a 1k Fun Run for kids on the warning track of the field that starts at 12:30 P.M. The kids who participate are asked to find friends and family members to sponsor them- they will receive a free ticket for participating and a free t-shirt if they raise over 35 dollars in sponsors.
This is going to be a very fun event and we would love for all of the community to take part, especially the MS community! We need support from everyone so that we can continue to give great care to all our patients.
If you have any questions feel free to message me on here. You can also get more information on our website http://www.oakclinic.com and on our Facebook page: Oak Clinic for Multiple Sclerosis.
Thanks for listening😀
Lauren
