I have a symptom where when I lay down flat on my back, the left side of my chest feels like I’m having a heart attack. The same thing happens when I sit too heavily on my left buttock.

Oh, goodness,
We always suggest checking in with your doctor when you experience a new or worsening symptom, no matter how big or small. Your issues could be related to your MS, but it could be something else, so it's good to get it checked out, especially when we're talking about heart/chest issues.
I hope you get to the bottom of what's going on and maybe even get some options for treating or managing the issue!

I experience this on occasion, and it’s pretty scary. I get these sharp pains throughout my body, and I’ve gotten used to it, but when it hits the heart, it’s hard just to attribute it to the disease.

I mentioned that I had a Cardiology appointment coming up, and she told me that I would find my answers there. Well, the cardiologist said that he’s pretty sure that it’s not my heart. He is sending me to get a stress test though. I’ve been dealing with this for 15-20 years now, I sleep on a wedge system in my bed to keep my head and chest elevated. I’ve just been living with it, like so many people with ms, I have “little things” that I just have to suck it up.
