I get most of my support from online sources it’s easier for me to talk with people who are going through the same things and the online experience is 24-7 365 days which is better than waking up my wife

, I can understand that. Sometimes, the convenience of online communities can be handy, especially if you're up late at night or just needing a little extra support.
me too! I went through about 38 years of MS supported well by doctors but not particularly well by friends and family because I never felt I could ask for help except from my husband. But the multiplesclerosis.net community has been amazing! Thanks for your comment. In solidarity, Therry, a Team Member

I have only one person to share this journey with and she has not been very supportive at all. I am afraid to ask her for anything for fear that she'll say no. Like she just did.

, I'm sorry the person in your life doesn't seem very supportive. I know it's not the same, but please know this community is here for you 24/7.
It's hard to put yourself out there and ask for something only to be rejected. I hope you are pleasantly surprised this year with new people in your life that can be supportive and understanding.
so many people in our community would echo your comments about wishing that the people who are closest to them would "step up" in offering assistance. While it's understandably hard for those people in our life - even with a front row seat - to truly understand the reality of living with MS, having a little more compassion, support or even tangible help with some simple tasks would be really nice.
